BitMEX will cease all trading and deposits at 04:00 UTC on September 23, officially ending its exchange operations, as announced over two months ago. Users can still log in and withdraw funds, but API withdrawals will be disabled on September 28. Verified accounts with remaining balances will be subject to a monthly account fee of 1% per year or $50, whichever is higher. BitMEX stated that this shutdown is unrelated to legal or regulatory issues.
