Opus 5.5 is a model that recently blew me away—so much so that I’m now getting up before 7 AM to write code. It’s amazing! Highly recommend switching over from Fabel 5.1 to give it a try. The capabilities are similar, but it’s way cheaper, and I feel like it’s noticeably faster too. I also found it super suitable for long coding tasks. It really gives off that vibe of a seasoned engineer—having its own thought process and steps, methodically completing complex tasks. Perfect for things like cross-repo migrations or large repo audits. And finally, it speaks human language! The last model that surprised me with its ability to speak human was GPT-6 Astra, and this one is just as impressive. Man, it’s such a great time to be alive. Big models keep getting stronger, and I feel like I have even more energy to focus on the things I want to do. Plenty of tokens, fast, and effective—it’s such a joy to use!
