Actually, as a crypto exchange, Binance has always had a very clear strategy: enabling more assets to trade on Binance. This is the core of the exchange's business model. In the past, projects could get listed just by paying a fee. Later, when it became harder for project teams to pay, Binance fully shifted to a transaction fee + BNB platform token model. This included supporting the BSC chain during the DeFi era, which led to a surge of on-chain assets, and now supporting stock tokens and various emerging meme or protocol assets. The more assets that emerge, the longer users can stay engaged, and Binance can maintain its dominance in the long run. bStocks spot trading is just the first step; the on-chain rwafi that follows is where the real potential lies. Previously, I pointed out some strategic missteps by Binance, but now it seems like they’re loosening the reins, aiming to recreate the prosperity of the BSC + DeFi era.
