[Samsung to Support Korea's AI RAN Project with KT and SK Telecom] PANews, September 23 – Samsung Electronics announced today that it has signed contracts with Korea Telecom (KT) and SK Telecom to support their Artificial Intelligence Radio Access Network (AIRAN) project under the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT)'s 'Hyper AI Network' initiative in South Korea. Samsung will serve as KT's exclusive global supplier and SK Telecom's primary supplier. These projects are scheduled to launch in October 2026 and will deploy 5G standalone (SA) private networks across various industrial environments, ranging from shipyards to petrochemical facilities, to validate AIRAN capabilities and generate real-world insights for future deployments.
