[FOMO Malware Was Live on Apple App Store for a Week, Potentially Leading to Crypto Wallet Private Key Leaks] According to Protos, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer Zhang Shan warned that malware named DarkSword is targeting iPhone users, exploiting WebKit and JavaScriptCore memory corruption vulnerabilities in Safari to steal crypto assets. Affected iOS versions include iOS 13 to iOS 26.5, allowing attackers to obtain sensitive data such as wallet keys. Additionally, the official FOMO app was available for download on the Apple App Store from September 9 to 17. SlowMist discovered that it contained malicious modules capable of stealing mnemonic phrases and private keys.
