Bitcoin might have entered a new bull market, but right now, no one seems to care.
This Google Trends chart might be more interesting than the price itself.
Over the past few years, the world’s attention has been completely stolen by AI.
AI search interest has skyrocketed to near all-time highs.
And Bitcoin?
Search interest is still stuck near the floor.
This is completely different from the craziest phases of past bull markets.
In 2017 and 2021, when BTC surged, market hype exploded too. Retail investors were frantically searching for Bitcoin, opening accounts, and chasing the highs.
But this time—
BTC has already bounced significantly from the lows,
ETF funds are flowing back in,
Long-term moving averages are being reclaimed,
On-chain metrics are starting to improve,
Yet the public’s attention is still on AI, and hasn’t returned to Bitcoin at all.
This is actually the part I find most interesting.
What really worries me has never been "no one is talking about Bitcoin."
It’s the day when:
Taxi drivers are chatting about Bitcoin,
Coworkers are asking which altcoin to buy,
Google search volume shoots up vertically,
And everyone starts fearing they’re missing out.
That’s when I’ll start getting cautious.
Right now?
The price has moved first.
But the attention hasn’t caught up yet.
If this really is the early stage of a new bull market,
Then the craziest phase might not have even started yet. ₿
