SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer Shān Zhang urged iPhone users last Saturday to update iOS to counter the spread of the DarkSword malware and warned that the official FOMO app on the App Store contains crypto-stealing code. He stated that iOS versions 13 to 26.5 are all vulnerable, and the compromised FOMO version was active from September 9 to 17. Users should treat related mnemonics, private keys, and sensitive credentials as already leaked—simply updating or deleting the app may not be enough.
