Planning to jump ship from Kimi to Opus 5.5 Used Kimi at medium intensity for two days, and here’s my overall impression: 1. Still way too slow, even though I chose Kimi K2.8 2. The ¥199 plan is totally insufficient 3. Code quality is better than DeepSeek 4.1 & GLM 5.3 Flash The K3 model was only activated in one session, and it’s even slower. Although the final code quality was indeed pretty high, way better than the dumbed-down GPT 6 Astra. But it’s just too slow. A lot of the time, I had to stop and wait for Kimi to finish its work before I could continue pushing forward with the project’s code development. Right now, Kimi’s speed has become the bottleneck for project progress. Given Opus 5.5’s great reputation (even though it’s only been out for half a day), and since I happen to have Cursor + Devin on hand, I’m planning to switch to Opus 5.5 next.
