Today, I came across an entrepreneur in the robotics field. He’s been working in this space for over two years, starting his business in 2024, which is relatively early. But now, he’s decided to shut it down. I’ve written about quite a few projects and companies in this field before—like the crowdsourcing model run by robotics companies themselves, such as http://figure.ai, and the web3 company combining simulators with crowdsourcing apps, axisrobotics @axisrobotics. Many of these shared projects seem to be making good money, with large-scale data, but there are also companies that end up closing down. This article below highlights some of the challenges in this field. Ultimately, this company decided to shut down, but they’ve shared their two years of experience and a lot of their work, which might inspire others who come after them.
