No child should have to choose between being connected and being safe. As AI transforms how children learn, create and connect, safety must be built into technology from the beginning. As a founding Member State of the Coalition for Children’s Rights and Protection in the Age of AI, Kenya is advancing stronger safeguards for children while ensuring they can benefit fully from technology. At home, we are strengthening child online protection through our laws, policies and National AI Strategy, alongside a national dialogue bringing children, families, educators, technology companies and government together. Joined fellow leaders at the Coalition’s High-Level Meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where we launched a roadmap to turn our shared commitment into practical action.
