[Pyth Becomes an External Distributor of Nasdaq Real-Time Market Data]
According to a Pyth Network announcement, Pyth has become an external distributor for Nasdaq Basic, the foundational market data product for the U.S. stock market. Pyth will distribute real-time quotes and trade data for this product through the Pyth Data Marketplace. Nasdaq Basic provides the “best bid and offer prices and quantities” for U.S. equities, as well as the latest trade prices and volumes from the Nasdaq trading center and the FINRA/Nasdaq Trade Reporting Facility, covering all securities listed on U.S. exchanges. It also includes Nasdaq’s official opening and closing prices. Pyth stated that this collaboration will extend real-time U.S. stock market data, traditionally used by brokers, banks, and fintech platforms, to software and blockchain-native application scenarios via a single API connection, while retaining attribution and commercial control for data publishers.
