According to CoinDesk, Cardano has been integrated into the official x402 software suite, allowing developers to build applications and AI Agents that enable automatic online service payments using ADA or tokens from the Cardano ecosystem. x402 was initially launched by Coinbase in 2025, leveraging the HTTP 402 status code to enable native internet payments. Currently, Solana, XRP Ledger, and multiple EVM networks support this standard.
