Vitalik @VitalikButerin personally welcomed the prediction market project Trueo as it moves from Base (L2) back to the Ethereum mainnet (L1). Vitalik expressed his support for projects like Trueo that are more decentralized, take oracles seriously, and focus on long-term use cases. Trueo is a fully on-chain binary prediction market protocol (betting on real-world events by buying YES/NO tokens). Previously operating on Base, they’ve now announced their migration back to the Ethereum mainnet, believing that L1 is better suited for building widely adopted, highly trustworthy, and censorship-resistant infrastructure. It also makes it easier to deeply integrate with Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem. More and more assets will migrate back to Ethereum. L1 has its own value—sometimes security and trustworthiness are more important than anything else.
