According to Bloomberg, South Africa plans to incorporate crypto assets into its foreign exchange control system and restrict their use in cross-border transactions. Sources say that due to the proposed regulatory adjustments, local digital asset firms have put at least three deals on hold, with a total value of 2.2 billion South African Rand (approximately $135 million), involving private equity investments, small business financing, and corporate fund management. The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) stated that the relevant regulations are still in the draft stage, with regulators considering public feedback and continuing discussions on the regulation of crypto assets like stablecoins. The deadline for public comments on the draft rules for cross-border crypto asset transactions is September 30. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/south-africa-plans-crypto-foreign-exchange-controls-22b-rand-trades-68736
