Recently, the RWA (Real World Assets) and tokenizing U.S. stocks on-chain trend has been heating up. Following this direction, I dug around and started noticing @pharos_network. Pharos focuses on RealFi. My initial impression of it was just “another public chain doing RWA,” but after seeing their ecosystem’s first Launchpad, @ProsperTicker, starting to warm up, I decided to take a closer look. Prosper isn’t like the typical Launchpads I know that focus on launching memes or rushing into new tokens. Instead, it’s aiming for “strategy launches.” To put it simply: On-chain, there’s no shortage of people who can create strategies, but what’s lacking is the initial attention and funding. When a new strategy comes out, it has no historical performance, so people are hesitant to invest. Without investments, it’s hard to generate performance. It’s kind of a mutual PUA situation Prosper wants to break into this space, helping strategies enter the market earlier, get noticed, and spark discussions. Later, they can prove themselves with real performance. Looking back at Pharos’ RealFi narrative, it makes more sense now. Bringing assets on-chain is only half the story. If no one engages with them or there’s no liquidity after they’re on-chain, it’s pretty much useless. Right now, Prosper is still in the pre-launch phase, so I’m not rushing to any conclusions. For now, I’ll just add the Pharos network, stock up on some PROS for Gas, and maybe try out the Pharos Port cross-chain feature when I have time.
