Sept. 20 — The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) told central SOEs to prioritize “advancement” across technology, industry structure and production. Firms should anchor on key fields and critical links, systematically undertake new national major science and technology projects, implement flagship tech tasks and build pilot-scale demonstration platforms to push technological routes toward higher-end, more autonomous outcomes. On industry mix, SASAC instructed SOEs to grow emerging-industry output, cultivate future-sector variables and upgrade traditional-industry stock to climb the mid-to-high end of industry and value chains. On production, it ordered firms to accelerate measures that make pollution reduction and carbon cuts mutually reinforcing with quality and efficiency gains, aiming to form high-technology, low-resource, low-pollution industrial structures and production methods.(金十)
