1. Many of your passwords are unknowingly stored in Apple’s Keychain (and even synced with iCloud). Once your iPhone gets compromised like this, the privacy in your Keychain is gone. (For now, Passkey seems fine since it’s a more complex authentication mechanism.) These passwords include many of your account passwords, wallet unlock passwords, etc. 2. Malicious apps can infiltrate and access encrypted local files from other apps (like wallet private key encrypted files, encrypted notes, etc.). Combined with the related passwords from point 1, they can be decrypted. That’s basically it. We have some ideas for mitigation mechanisms targeting wallet apps, and we’re working on them. Big thanks to @okx @wallet security team for initiating the investigation with us, and to the other wallet teams who later joined in to push forward related warnings and mitigation efforts. Also, shoutout to the community members who provided intel and early warnings. Once again, a reminder: update your iOS to the latest version as soon as it’s available. And don’t rule out similar risks on iPad/Mac/Android. Stay vigilant.
