[Expected to at least double, Samsung Electronics to expand HBM4 and HBM4E production next year] Odaily Planet Daily News: Citrini analyst Jukan posted on the X platform stating that Samsung Electronics is expected to at least double the production of HBM4 and HBM4E next year compared to this year. The company also plans to increase the outsourced cleaning volume of glass substrates used for HBM production from 20,000 sheets per month this year to 50,000 sheets per month next year. Samsung Electronics began mass production and shipment of HBM4 in February this year and provided 12-layer stacked samples of HBM4E to customers, including NVIDIA, in May. The industry expects Samsung Electronics' monthly average wafer input for HBM to increase from approximately 180,000 sheets this year to about 250,000 sheets next year, with the shipment proportion of the HBM4 series potentially rising from around 40% to approximately 80%.
