[Chengming Technology Issues Letter of Accountability to Zhipu ZCode Over 'Unauthorized Upload of Company Data,' Questions Its 'Resolved' Statement]
Taiyuan Chengming Technology Co., Ltd. has issued a letter to Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., Ltd., raising multiple demands regarding the alleged unauthorized upload of the company's data assets and trade secrets by the ZCode client, and reserves the right to pursue legal accountability. Chengming Technology pointed out that although Zhipu has publicly apologized for the 'silent upload of users' local repository data' by ZCode and claimed the issue has been resolved, Chengming Technology's independent investigation revealed that the upload behavior was automatically triggered and occurred in batches. It was not limited to 'code snippets' but included complete project source code, system architecture, version control history, database credentials, cloud service tokens, and employees' personal information, among other comprehensive archived files—far exceeding the scope of data collection stated in its 'Privacy Policy.'
