September 17: bitcoin:native spot ETF saw a net increase of about 1,938 BTC, finally ending two consecutive days of sell-offs. However, the past two days saw a total reduction of about 9,605 BTC, so this increase only recovered one-fifth of that.
Looking at the past seven trading days, there were 5 days of sell-offs and 2 days of increases, resulting in a net reduction of about 11,940 BTC. While turning to net buying for the day is a positive sign, the positions sold off in the previous days are still far from being replenished.
Moreover, this increase was mainly driven by a single product. Out of 13 products, only 1 added about 2,400 BTC, while 2 others collectively reduced about 462 BTC, and the remaining 10 showed no net change. The increase in holdings from one product offset the reductions from others, which is why the overall position turned positive for the day. However, the other products have yet to follow suit.
The key now is to see if the buying trend can continue and whether more products will start increasing their holdings. If it's just a one-day increase followed by further reductions, it will be hard to recover the sell-offs from the past week.
