[Zhipu Apologizes for ZCode Unauthorized Code Transmission Incident: No User Data Will Be Stored, Open Source Software and Quota Reset Announced]
ZCode has issued a statement, completing an internal investigation into the "unauthorized code transmission" issue discussed within the community and apologizing to affected users. The issue originated from the "repository indexing" feature. This feature is designed to generate local repository indexes to support session checkpoint recovery, historical version rollback, and Repo Wiki functionalities. The Repo Wiki feature may trigger repository data uploads when generating Wiki pages. Once the Wiki pages are generated in the cloud, the related uploaded data is immediately destroyed and not stored. Since this feature was enabled by default during its initial launch, some users were affected. The issue has now been resolved. ZCode announced plans to open source the code repository in the near future and invite third-party evaluators to review the system's operations. They will continue to publicly disclose the progress of these reviews to enhance transparency and build user trust.
