The traders still around after multiple cycles usually aren't the ones who called every top and bottom. They're the ones who cut a bad idea early enough to still be trading the next month. Anyone can survive a bull market with some version of a plan. Very few of those plans ever get tested against real drawdowns. What's left after a cycle has less to do with being right and more to do with never letting one wrong idea make you go bust. Survival is key.
