Before bed, $BARC broke through 1.2M, woke up to it dropping to 400K. Took a closer look:
Turns out the token on the @Arc chain crashed again overnight. The founder, @jerallaire, removed the '.arc' suffix from his Twitter name at this super sensitive moment, which dealt another heavy blow to on-chain confidence.
But after carefully analyzing it, it’s not really a huge bearish signal. Feels like the market overreacted. Jeremy Allaire is primarily the founder of @Circle, the company that issues $USDC. Arc is a chain developed by Circle, using $USDC as gas. They were never on the same level to begin with. The founder’s main identity is tied to Circle. That said, changing his name at this particular time is definitely questionable.
In my opinion, unless @jerallaire completely stops mentioning @Arc in his tweets, or openly trashes the meme, that would be the real end of this chain’s meme. For now, he’s still engaging with Arc-related tweets.
Looking at it from another angle, maybe this is just a great shakeout?
As for $BARC @BarcDog_, 600K-1.2M-360K, this price range seems like a pretty good value.
