After clicking on ads within ChatGPT, users can directly interact with a brand's AI customer service, ask questions, and receive personalized responses before deciding whether to visit the brand's website. OpenAI stated that these interactions are independent of ChatGPT's own responses and separate from the user's original conversation. Currently, this feature is being tested with select advertisers in the United States. The first CRM and e-commerce partners are HubSpot and Shopify, with the international version of the latter set to go live on September 23.
