💸 Ethereum transaction costs have dropped considerably. Since the year’s peak fees of $0.72 per transfer back on April 21st, ETH costs just $0.095 per transfer today, even with ETH trading at a higher market value now. 📉 Softer mainnet demand through the bearish summer helped pull fees down. But Ethereum also has far more capacity now, with Fusaka, higher blob throughput, a 60M gas limit, and L2s absorbing huge amounts of execution that once competed directly for mainnet blockspace. 🛠️ Cheap blockspace makes Ethereum considerably easier to use. Swaps, transfers, DeFi positions, stablecoin movements, and ERC-20 activity become less painful when users aren’t sacrificing several dollars every time they touch the network. 🌱 ETH utility is becoming cheaper while prices have recovered, giving Ethereum projects a friendlier environment even when participation returns. Low fees alone don’t prove demand is strengthening, but cheap execution removes one of Ethereum’s oldest barriers just as network activity has room to recover. 🔗 Live Chart: https://app.santiment.net/charts/eth-average-fees-fees-burnt-usd-24365?utm_source=x&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=eth_average_fees_b_091726&aff=3
