The irony in all of this is pretty wild. The Senate couldn’t get the CLARITY Act to the floor for debate. So the SEC and CFTC basically said fine, we’ll start providing clarity ourselves. Now the SEC is opening the door to tokenized U.S. stocks, the CFTC says its crypto rules are ready to move, and both agencies are moving forward under the authority they already have. And I keep thinking about this… If the concern was that the CLARITY Act didn’t have enough protections or needed more work, wouldn’t the better place to work through that have been during the actual debate and amendment process? Because now Congress has less control over what happens next, not more. That’s the part I find really interesting.
