Recently, the NFT hype in the Zcash ecosystem has really started to pick up. Came across the @zaddrnet project—its mechanism is pretty interesting, so I went ahead and applied for the whitelist. The project is launching 2,800 pixel PFPs, deployed on Zcash. The NFT images themselves are public, so anyone can view them, but the holders are hidden in the shielded pool. In other words, you can see the avatar and confirm its existence, but it’s hard to trace the wallet or transaction history to figure out who owns it. This setup is quite different from most NFTs out there. Normally, when you buy an NFT, your wallet address, holdings, and transaction history are all visible on-chain. With ZADDR, it’s more like separating “display rights” from “identity information.” Also, their short address payment feature seems pretty practical. Zcash’s privacy addresses are super long, and copying/pasting them for transfers isn’t very convenient. If you could directly use something like http://zaddr.net/@name for payments, where the sender just inputs @username to send funds to your shielded address, the experience would be much more intuitive. Payment requests, payment links, and invoices can also be tied to the username, and the payer doesn’t need to register. According to the official statement, the keys are only generated locally on the user’s device, so the platform can’t access or use your assets. Whitelist applications are still open: 1. Log in via X 2. Provide a Zcash privacy address (u1 or zs1) 3. Complete social tasks 4. Claim a ZA Ticket and check whitelist status Official site: https://zaddr.net/apply First batch of 2,800 NFTs, price not yet announced. If you’re interested in the Zcash ecosystem, privacy NFTs, or short address payments, give it a try. DYOR. https://(x.com)/zaddrnet/status/2098376342580371874
