I feel like the bull market is here, and a big door has been cracked open. After the CLARITY Act didn’t move forward smoothly, the SEC didn’t stop. Instead, they pushed forward with tokenized securities within their existing statutory authority. SEC Chair Atkins also stated that the U.S. capital markets need to advance onchain trading, while in the long term, a more stable regulatory framework is still necessary. Today, for the first time, a clear U.S. compliance pathway has been opened for Tokenized NMS Stocks + permissioned AMM + liquidity pools. The exemption takes effect immediately and lasts up to 5 years. This temporary approval by the U.S. SEC for onchain U.S. stocks is bullish for Robinhood Chain, bullish for Bstock on BSC, bullish for xStocks on SOL, and bullish for the DeFi renaissance onchain, as well as RWA infrastructure.
