[Apollo Plans to Increase Loan Amount to SoftBank from $5.4 Billion to $9 Billion] According to Bloomberg, Apollo Global Management is in discussions with SoftBank Group to increase the size of a loan from $5.4 billion to $9 billion to support its investment in OpenAI. The loan is secured by assets from SoftBank Vision Fund II and is classified as a net asset value loan. It was issued in 2021 and increased to $5.4 billion last year. The final amount for this adjustment has not yet been determined, and both parties have declined to comment. SoftBank has already committed $64.6 billion to invest in OpenAI and previously secured a $10 billion loan in August using its OpenAI shares as collateral. This week, the price of SoftBank's credit default swaps rose to a three-year high, and the company is simultaneously meeting with investors in New York to explore the issuance of overseas high-yield bonds ranging from $10 billion to $20 billion.
