In less than a year, such cases have surged by approximately 440%. Data shows that these incidents have risen from an average of about 2 per day to the current average of about 11 per day. Attackers write malicious instructions on-chain to manipulate infected devices, steal passwords and funds, and redirect assets to designated wallets. Due to the immutable nature of on-chain records, defense and interception have become increasingly challenging. The report highlights that state-sponsored hackers from countries like North Korea and Iran have become key players in such activities. Open-source models, which support local independent operation and modification, can directly bypass cloud-based defenses.
