Being a diamond hands holder is really tough. Yesterday, watching 果蝇 drop to 3m was so nerve-wracking. I had to analyze on-chain data to figure out who was selling. Turns out it was a few early whales—some selling directly, others adding liquidity and selling. Watching them sell bit by bit and the price slowly drop, I wanted to sell so many times. I kept telling myself, maybe I should sell now and buy back after they’re done selling. But after confirming that the big players weren’t exiting, and it was just early profit-takers selling, I decided to hold on.
Here’s a paradox: a lot of people like to sell their initial investment and then "hold for the long term," which ends up causing many meme coins to go to zero and lose a lot of potential profits. Even if you want to hold for the long term, it should be with strong projects backed by solid players and coins with strong future growth potential—not just holding out of laziness because you’ve already sold your initial investment.
If the coin you’re holding isn’t backed by strong players, you might as well sell it and buy $BTC instead. Wealth needs to be accumulated slowly and in the right way.
