[China and Japan Reduced U.S. Treasury Holdings in July, While the UK Significantly Increased]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on September 17, data from the U.S. Department of the Treasury shows that in July, the scale of U.S. Treasury holdings by China and Japan both declined compared to June, while the UK increased its holdings. Specifically, Japan held $1.104 trillion in U.S. Treasuries in July, a decrease of $13 billion from June; China held $618 billion, a decrease of $15 billion from June; and the UK held $998 billion, an increase of $58 billion from June.
