The results are out: a 25 basis point rate hike. The dot plot looks pretty hawkish. Another rate hike is expected in 2026, rates will remain unchanged in 2027, and rate cuts will begin in 2028. Of course, the main focus right now is still on the Strait of Hormuz. If the Hormuz issue can be resolved, I believe we won’t have to wait until 2028 for rate cuts. Even if the U.S. and Iran can’t directly resolve it, partial access to Hormuz for some countries could ease rising oil prices, which would help reduce inflation. Overall, the main driver of inflation right now is Iran. Let’s see what Walsh has to say later. I’ll try to live-stream the updates in Chinese as usual, but my ability is limited, so don’t set your expectations too high. For those who can, feel free to watch the English live stream directly: https://www.(youtube.com)/watch?v=D_5bQnxxWAE I’ll be doing a live Chinese translation under this tweet. Now, let’s see how Walsh performs. @Gate Crypto, U.S. stocks, Hong Kong stocks, Korean stocks, gold, CFDs, prediction markets—all in one platform.
