According to the dot plot, there will be another 25 basis point rate hike in 2026, bringing it to 4.25%. Currently, it's at 4%, so this means there will likely be another hike either in October or December. Hmm, calculating the odds, October seems pretty likely, especially since September's inflation is very likely to rise. As for 2027, the current forecast is no rate cuts, maintaining the 4.25% rate. Rate cuts are expected to start in 2028. Of course, we don’t need to worry about 2027 and beyond for now. As long as the Hormuz issue is resolved, inflation should come down. This dot plot is quite hawkish. Now we just wait for Walsh's speech. I bet Trump is already fuming and ready to blow up. @Gate Crypto, US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, Korean stocks, gold, CFD, prediction markets all-in-one trading platform
