International rating agency Fitch Ratings released a report stating that Malaysia, with its clear regulations and Shariah compliance recognition, has become one of the most open Islamic markets in the cryptocurrency space. The Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) recognized mainstream crypto assets like BTC, ETH, XRP, and XLM as Shariah-compliant between 2020 and the first half of 2026. As of the end of H1 2026, 10 digital asset institutions have been licensed and regulated. In 2025, the trading volume of compliant digital asset exchanges in Malaysia grew by 23% year-on-year to over $4 billion, but this accounted for only 2.5% of the total domestic stock trading volume. Bank participation remains largely limited to providing channel services for licensed platforms. (TheStar) https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/news-68480
