According to a report by Golden Finance, on September 16, the *Washington Post* reported on September 15 that U.S. officials familiar with the matter revealed that the Trump administration plans to sell $2.8 billion worth of ammunition to Israel. This includes tens of thousands of highly destructive 2,000-pound (approximately 907 kilograms) bombs—specifically, 20,000 MK-84 bombs and 20,000 BLU-117 bombs. It is reported that this arms sale plan has been informally communicated to the relevant committees in the U.S. Congress responsible for reviewing large-scale arms sales. Neither U.S. nor Israeli officials have responded to requests for comment on this report. Israel has frequently used 2,000-pound bombs in the Palestinian Gaza Strip and Lebanon, causing severe casualties and drawing close attention from human rights experts. (*CCTV International News*)
