The further I get in my career, the more I realize that working at Facebook in the early 2010s was such a special time. So many of the top founders, operators, and investors today were working at the company then. Every day Facebook was hiring superstar after superstar. Hyper growth was the only acceptable standard. At one point the company went from 2,500 to 12,000 employees in less than 2 years. We would launch new products and go from $0 to $1 billion in revenue in 18 months. Just an insane concentration of talent, ambition, and results. I am grateful for every opportunity I have had in my career, but I don’t think I will ever get to experience something like that again.
