[US Media: EU Countries to Discuss AI Regulations on Thursday]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 15, according to Politico, two EU diplomats and a draft agenda revealed that government officials from EU member states will gather in Brussels on Thursday to discuss how to establish global regulations to address the threats posed by new AI models. The European Commission will provide updates on "the latest developments in EU and international AI policies" during a meeting of the AI Committee and conduct a "technical briefing" on "recent AI-related incidents." The committee, composed of representatives from EU member states, holds regular meetings to monitor the implementation progress of the EU's Artificial Intelligence Act. One diplomat stated that this European discussion on global cooperation will focus on the work being carried out by the G7, G20, and the United Nations. (Jin10)
