[Stablecoin Payment Company Velocity Extends Series A Funding to $48 Million]
According to CoinDesk, London-based stablecoin payment infrastructure company Velocity has completed a $10 million Series A extension round, bringing the total for this round to $48 million and valuing the company at $200 million post-money. Investors include Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Haun Ventures, Ripple, Translink Capital, and Mirana Ventures. Velocity provides backend systems for payment companies and banks to settle, manage liquidity, and conduct treasury operations using stablecoins, without requiring them to replace their existing infrastructure. The company had just completed an oversubscribed $38 million Series A round this July.
