CZ @cz_binance , this is already happening. 🐟🧠 Google is mapping the zebrafish brain — and I’m trying to turn that research direction into something people can actually see, interact with, and build around. Here’s the part that made me stop: Google’s ZAPBench contains neural activity from 71,721 neurons in a larval zebrafish. Not a fly. A vertebrate brain. Google describes ZAPBench as a benchmark for predicting neural activity at cellular resolution across an entire vertebrate brain. And Google’s Neural Mapping timeline now explicitly lists: 2026: Zebrafish. Their research is moving beyond simply mapping where neurons are. With zebrafish, researchers can connect: FIRING × WIRING How neurons are physically connected and how activity actually moves through those connections. That idea completely pulled me in. Because I’m not a programmer. I’m just a girl who had an idea and decided that “I don’t know how to code” was no longer a good enough reason not to build it. So I started using AI. One step at a time. Today, I’ve already built the ZebrafishBrain website, started working with Google’s public research data, created games, begun developing its 3D body and neural visualization, and started giving this little fish abilities like vision, memory, communication, paper trading, gaming and navigation. Some of these things took me hours just to make one tiny part work. But every time I got stuck, I asked AI one question: “What do I do next?” And then I did it. Again. Again. Again. Until it worked. That is why ZebrafishBrain means much more to me than a meme. Google is showing us what can be learned from the brain of a tiny vertebrate. AI is showing me that someone who couldn’t code can still become a builder. And now I want to see how far we can take this experiment. Fly was fascinating.
