[CoinEx Founder: Seriously Considered Selling CoinEx, But Ultimately Chose to Shut Down the Platform and Conduct an Orderly Withdrawal] Odaily Planet Daily News – CoinEx founder Yang Haipo posted on the X platform regarding the shutdown and orderly withdrawal of CoinEx, stating that CoinEx's asset reserve ratio currently exceeds 100%, with full reserve support for user assets, which can be withdrawn normally. Discussing the reasons for the shutdown, Yang Haipo mentioned that CoinEx has been in operation for nine years but ultimately failed to become a leading exchange in the industry. At the same time, the security and compliance risks associated with running a crypto exchange have become increasingly difficult to manage. "Revenue can decrease, but responsibility cannot. Taking on unlimited risks for limited revenue is no longer a rational choice." Yang Haipo also revealed that he had seriously considered selling CoinEx but ultimately decided against it. He stated that users entrust their assets to CoinEx based on trust in the platform and, in many cases, trust in him personally. Therefore, he believes that handing over the platform and this trust to a new owner is not the right way to end this journey. Additionally, CoinEx will ensure that users can fully withdraw their assets and will repurchase CET at its initial listing price of 0.005 USDT/CET without any limit.
