According to DeepTech TechFlow, on September 15, as reported by TechCrunch, AI infrastructure company Cornelis announced the completion of a $205 million funding round, led by IAG Capital Partners. The company also unveiled its Active Compute Fabric networking technology, aimed at improving communication efficiency between AI chips and reducing GPU idle time caused by waiting for data transfers. Cornelis, spun off from Intel in 2020, focuses on an open architecture that allows customers to integrate its network structure with various GPUs and accelerator hardware. The company has already begun delivering related products and plans to launch a next-generation version later this year.
