Founded in 2019, the company had previously raised approximately $30 million in total funding. Glass Imaging was established by former Apple engineers Ziv Attar and Tom Bishop, who had previously led Apple's Portrait Mode development team. Glass Imaging primarily leverages neural networks to optimize camera systems for various smartphones, directly enhancing imaging quality during shooting to overcome the physical size limitations of smartphone cameras. As of the time of reporting, OpenAI has not responded to requests for comment.
