Base and Ethereum are no longer trying to build the same account abstraction standard. @decentrek, ZeroDev founder, says talks to reconcile Base-led EIP-8130 with Ethereum's EIP-8141 ended last week. Both remain drafts in the EIP registry. The split leaves wallets to absorb it: "putting the burden on wallets to deal with the fragmentation that ensues."
