Continuing to write this script:
Saudi Arabia's offer is likely to include the Houthis in the entire plan.
Saudi Arabia calling Trump and meeting with the Central Command commander is probably aimed at using U.S. intelligence and target data to strike for two weeks, improving the ground situation before coming to the table—rather than signing from a weak position right after losing Muhar and halting pipelines.
In the end, it's likely that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia will first sign off on a formal defense commitment that's been delayed for years, include a ceasefire with the Houthis in the arrangement, upgrade arms sales, and add a symbolic gesture of making Saudi Arabia a co-chair of the regional security framework.
Piecing these together, the sequence for the next two to four weeks will probably be: Saudi strikes the Houthis, the U.S. makes commitments, Houthi terms are packaged into the plan, Salalah reopens by the end of the month or early October, the corridor is implemented, and oil prices peak around mid-October.
