THE BLOCK: A petition to delay crypto taxation in South Korea has reached a threshold of 50,000 signatures, requiring legislative review of the matter. The tax plan for digital asset gains has already been postponed three times.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister nominee Lee Hyoung-il said the government still plans to tax annual crypto gains above a 2.5 million won ($1,856) deduction at a 22% effective rate starting Jan. 1, 2027.(The Block)
