If Carney pulls that off it’d be incredible. It would allow: -Canadians to visit and *work in* the EU/EEA visa free. -Canadian defense companies to be a priority provider in Europe. -Europeans to have visa free tourism in Canada and accelerated immigration. -Open up Canada to competition in banking which is currently a monopoly. -Expand free trade agreements in the EEA which has a very different product footprint than Canada. All while not taking on the economic risk of having the Euro because it’s only an associated member. It benefits Europe. But it REALLY benefits Canada. Anyone who has anything bad to say about this is parroting talking points without understanding any of the economic or policy impacts.(Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth))
