In this breach, sensitive personal information of some users was illegally accessed, including copies of identification documents, facial recognition selfies, and complete financial transaction histories. The International Cyber Digest pointed out that the forged request initially bypassed the system's detection due to the use of a genuine government agency domain suffix. In response to this incident, a Revolut spokesperson confirmed to the media that the company swiftly blocked the related address upon discovering the unauthorized activity and alerted the relevant government agencies, law enforcement, and financial regulators. The spokesperson clarified that "Revolut's system architecture and customer funds remain unaffected."
