We’ve updated the map of EMBER
Team members reached out with more context on a wallet that created a cluster:
Wallet GZjYfG is a reward distributor
It's now labeled and hidden
***
This context wasn’t available onchain
Ember’s flywheel mechanism is not standard
Rewards are sent from a regular EOA controlled offchain, rather than through a contract that can be identified automatically. From an onchain perspective, GZjYfG looks like a wallet sending tokens to other holders.
The connections were correct.
The missing piece was Ember’s offchain setup
***
This highlights a few misconceptions about Bubblemaps:
1. A cluster does NOT mean a scam
Clusters show connections between holders, which can (sometimes) have legitimate explanations. The issue is obfuscation, not concentration.
2. Label is context
Bubblemaps shows onchain connections. A missing label never change the underlying data, but it can provide context to help understand what those connections mean
3. Labeling should be a shared effort
We label as much as we can (1B+ labels), but we can’t reverse-engineer every custom mechanism across every chain.
Projects know their infra better than anyone: contracts, treasuries, fees, reward systems, etc. And they shouldn’t want us guessing. That’s why anyone can submit labels directly through Bubblemaps:
