Bloomberg’s ASKB on the Fed this week. Might be historic:
There is no well-documented precedent of the Fed holding rates when futures were pricing an ~88% probability of a 25 bps hike one week before the meeting. At that implied probability level, a hold would represent an extraordinary and unprecedented policy surprise — one that would likely cause severe market dislocation. The historical record strongly suggests the Fed delivers when odds are this high.
